Maritime Alps Natural Park
The Maritime Alps border the French Mercantour National Park. Both parks were twinned in 1987 and extend for about 28,000 hectares at an altitude of between 870 and 3,297 metres above sea level..

Pesio-Tanaro High Valley Natural Park
The physical environment: The Pesio-Tanaro High Valley Natural Park is located in the heart of the Liguria Alps, and includes the mountain passes of Tenda and Cadibona. Along with the Maritime Alps (with the passes of Tenda and Maddalena in the Stura Valley) they make up the final spur in the Western Italian Alps.

Crava-Morozzo Naturalistic Oasis
in 1842 Goffredo Casalis, in his "Geographical. Historical, Statistical and Commercial Dictionary of the states of S.M il Re of Sardinia” quotes: “In the River Pesio otters can be found in abundance”, referring to Rocca dè Baldi and the surrounding area.

Ciciu del Villar Natural Reserve
Established in the Municipality of Villar San Costanzo in the Maira Valley, the Natural Reserve occupies an area of 64 hectares and is at an altitude of between 640 and 1,000 metres. It plays host to a peculiar and interesting phenomenon of erosion, known locally as the “ciciu”.

Bossea Caves
The Bossea Cave System has a high aesthetic and naturalistic value due to the richness and energy of the subterranean waters: It is in fact a real living cave system which contains fast flowing water and where the processes of formation and moulding are still alive.
